When you arrive in Kuerkaltio, a cozy and peaceful environment awaits you, which is located close to the versatile services of Äkäslompolo.
First of all, remember to pick up the apartment keys from the reception, which is done according to the instructions given in the booking material.
The reception is ready to help you with all your questions and to make sure that your stay goes smoothly.
There is a quick bus connection from Kolari railway station and Kittilä airport to Äkäslompolo. Inform the driver that you will be getting off at Kuerkaltio.
The bus stops are below the holiday village at the intersection of Lompolontie and Karhukoantie. You can easily reach the village reception via a shortcut on the pedestrian path.

It is recommended to book your ticket in advance through the matkahuolto.fi website. This ensures that the bus company can allocate enough buses immediately, and customers do not have to wait. When booking a ticket, it is advisable to choose Karhukoantie as the destination (you can add this by writing it in the destination field), so the driver knows to drop you off at the correct stop.
Additionally, outside the peak season (1.5.-30.11.2024), there is no bus service from the airport, so transportation must be ordered at least 18 hours before the flight lands. Prices are determined based on the number of passengers.

Each apartment has one heated parking space. If your group has more than one car, please inquire about parking possibilities, alternatives, and instructions at the reception.
For safety and resident comfort reasons, cars are not allowed to be parked in front of the apartments. The parking space for some apartments may be adjacent to the apartment.
Currently, it is not possible to charge electric and hybrid car batteries at Kuerkaltio. The nearest charging points are at K-market Jounin Kauppa and at the Lapland Hotels locations in Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi, as well as in Kolari.
Charging car batteries from heating poles or apartment sockets is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
When arriving by taxi, inform the driver of your apartment number so you can easily get to your door with your luggage.
If you arrive in Ylläs and Kuerkaltio before your apartment is ready, you can ask for instructions on luggage storage.
You can wash off the travel dust in the shower located in the laundry room. Reserve the use of the laundry room shower at the reception upon arrival or in advance.
