Booking conditions

Booking starts at 16.00 on the day of arrival and ends at 11.00 on the day of departure, when the rooms must be vacated.

Kuerkaltio Holiday Village General Booking Conditions

Kiinteistö Oy Kuerkaltion, Kuerkaltion lomakylä, hereinafter referred to as the Sales Organisation, shall comply with the following conditions when ordering, booking and cancelling accommodation and other services. These conditions become binding on both parties when the customer has paid the advance payment mentioned in these terms and conditions or has agreed on a provable other payment for the holiday resort.

Booking and payment

When booking directly with Kuerkaltio; The booking is confirmed when the customer has paid a deposit of 25% for the value of the booking and a delivery fee of 10 EUR by the due date. If the booking is made less than eight (8) weeks before the start of the stay, no deposit will be charged. The final payment is due six (6) weeks before the start of the stay. If the final payment is not paid by the due date, the reservation will be considered cancelled. The contact details of the keyholder/guardian of the property can be found on the invoice form.

When you book online from our website, payment is made online immediately.

Booking conditions for groups will be sent separately. The person making the reservation must be of legal age. Unaccompanied minors must have a written consent from their guardian, which must be submitted to Kuerkaltio Holiday Village before the start of the stay. Upon arrival at the resort, the guest must be prepared to present a receipt of a valid reservation, a receipt or a confirmation of reservation.
The law that entered into force on 1 October 2006 requires everyone to register and complete a passenger declaration form.

The sales organisation is responsible for ensuring that the customer receives the services under the contract. At the holiday destination, the customer may also agree to pay directly to the holiday destination for other services.

Cancellations

Cancellation must always be made in writing to the sales organisation.

Cancellation of a confirmed reservation will be made:
- more than 60 days before the start of your stay, a handling fee of €35 will be charged for reservations that have already been invoiced.
- more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a cancellation fee 30% will be charged for reservations already invoiced.
- later than 30 days before the start of the stay, the full amount of the reservation will be charged.

The cancellation is deemed to have occurred at the moment the sales organisation is informed of the cancellation.

If cancellation occurs during the stay, the rent paid by the customer will not be refunded.

Insurance

We recommend that our customers take out travel insurance for possible exceptional situations and cases, as the holiday village is not obliged to accept cancellations without cancellation fees, e.g. on the basis of a medical certificate or similar.

Right of the selling organisation to cancel the booking

In the event of force majeure, the owner of the holiday destination may, through the intermediary of the sales organisation, terminate the contract, in which case the sales organisation must inform the customer of the cancellation as soon as possible. The customer is entitled to a refund of any payments made to the sales organisation. If the advance or final invoice is not paid by the due date, the booking will be cancelled. 

A paid reservation cancelled due to Covid 19 virus does not entitle the holder to a refund.

Handing over the keys

The keys will be handed over on the day the reservation starts.
For a lost key, we charge 300€ for rekeying the lock plus the price of four new keys at the current price. The price includes the re-setting and the locksmith's work and travel. 

Staying in a resort

The holiday home is available from 16:00 on the day of arrival until 11:00 on the day of departure.The rental price includes final cleaning, bed linen and towels.

Pets are not allowed in the apartments, unless agreed at the time of booking. Only some of the apartments can accommodate animals. Pets are subject to the following charges 50€ /reservation. Unauthorised pets are subject to a large cleaning fee of EUR 258 for terraced apartments and EUR 296 for semi-detached apartments.

Baby cots, high chairs, a children's potty and a pull-out bed can be booked separately (also in advance). The laundry room is available for EUR 4 per machine, payable at the information desk, where you will also receive a key. The price includes detergent and washing-up liquid.
During the Info Centre's opening hours, customers can use WiFi free of charge. There is no washing machine in all apartments.

The ski room is connected to the barbecue shelter. The barbecue shelter is available to guests all year round.

A weekly fee of €20 is charged separately for the heating of caravans.

Cleaning of the holiday home is the responsibility of the sales organisation. The customer is responsible for any damage caused to the property or its furnishings. 

The use of a tent, caravan or camper on the plot without Kuerkaltio's permission is prohibited. 

Number of people

The holiday home may not be used by more than the number of persons stated on the invoice. If you have rented bed linen, you can only use one per person. Excess use will be charged to the customer.

Complaints

All complaints about the equipment and condition of the holiday home will be addressed to the caretaker of the holiday home as soon as they arise. If there is no change, the complaint must be made to the sales organisation within 2 weeks of the end of the booking. If the customer and Kuerkaltio Holiday Village cannot reach an agreement, the customer may refer the dispute to the Consumer Complaints Board.
